GlacierXperience at the European Researchers Night 2024 in Graz

This year, the project was also represented with a stand at the European Researchers Night in Graz. Visitors again had the opportunity to virtually hike on the glacier and explore the digital learning environment on iPads.
For the first time, experiments on glaciers as sinks for carbon dioxide were also presented. Here, there was also an insight into the storage of carbon dioxide by converting it into carbonates through the process of chemical weathering.
A total of around 900 people of all ages took part in the European Researchers Night.
