[Day 7] Fjords as earlier glaciers

From the glacier we went to the Norwegian fjords. You might not suspect it, but the fjords also have something to do with glaciers. They are the waterlogged valleys of former glaciers. Very recognizable by the still clearly visible U-shapes of the valleys. Norway was once made up of glaciers to a large extent. After retreating or disappearing altogether, they left deep valleys which could then fill with seawater.
On the photo you can see the change in the position of the sun up to the midnight sun very well. It never really gets dark north of the Arctic Circle in summer. Midnight looks more like dusk.
