The second day of the course was about crevasse rescue in super nice weather. We learned how we can save other people in the roped party, but also ourselves, from a crevasse. A distinction is made between self-rescue and third-party rescue. Both have their own techniques. So, equipped with rope and material, we went to the glacier. We were able to practice self-rescue on a railing at the mountain station. Much to the delight of arriving tourists.
