Even after the official end of the project, it continues to reach interested audiences! As part of the open-air travelling exhibition “En verden verdt å leve i” (“A World Worth Living In”) by the Arctic University of Norway (UiT), our project, GlacierXperience, is currently on prominent display in central Tromsø, on Storgata. The exhibition is taking place as part of the Norwegian science festival “Forskningsdagene” and the anniversary marking “200 Years of Teacher Education in Northern Norway.”
Our exhibition module explores the central question: “Exploring nature outside the classroom?” Using our study area at the Steindalsbreen glacier, the poster illustrates the rapid retreat of glaciers due to climate change and shows how experiential outdoor learning can strengthen climate awareness among school students and future teachers. Integrated QR codes allow passers-by to access digital teaching materials directly on our project website.
